Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Position Description 


Dorner has an exciting opportunity due to growth on our second shift. This position will be responsible for overseeing the application of all operational procedures on the manufacturing floor; specifically assisting with those activities necessary to meet safety, quality and production standards. You will also be responsible for encouraging cooperation and teamwork among all of the members on second shift. The position includes staffing activities such as interviewing, hiring, goal-setting, coaching, mentoring, monitoring attendance and evaluating individual and team performance. The Supervisor will hold daily/weekly meetings to properly communicate performance to established metrics and drive continuous improvement. As new products are developed, you may be involved in planning the production launch of a product, as well as be required to develop the Work instructions needed to ensure quality and consistency.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a lead position with either an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related discipline, or equivalent experience. Exposure to a wide variety of fabrication, or assembly processes, demonstrable blueprint reading skills and proficient use of measuring equipment is required.  When appropriate, it is extremely important that you have the ability to maintain proper confidentiality. You may be required to seek out additional training to maintain or improve needed skills to allow you to perform at the highest level.
