Making a Difference for the Community

Dorner recently donated an AquaGard™ conveyor to the Milwaukee Center for Independence for its newly acquired confectionary co-pack line. The MCFI is experienced with most current packaging and assembly processes and methods that ensure their customers quality. For example, MCFI provides over 23,000 school lunches daily to the Milwaukee Public Schools.

The MCFI is committed to helping people with special needs to better live and work in the community. Employees with disabilities participate in the experience of working and contributing to their own skill development, confidence, and independence.

The Dorner conveyor is the assembly line for the premium confectionary pack. MCFI has two hand pack stations on each side of the AquaGard conveyor. Each station adds a different variety of chocolate creating a truly unique taste experience for consumers. By the end of the conveyor, the carton is finished and sealed. The delightful treats are distributed to specialty stores, spas, restaurants and hotels.

AquaGard Delivers!

When plans were made to reconfigure a food manufacturing area to increase production and eliminate fork trucks in the slicing room, it presented a problem: how to move cartons of finished product out of the area safely and quickly. Plus, the room operates at cold temperatures and subject to sanitation.

AquaGard was the perfect solution. To speed up the process and eliminate injury risk to employees carrying out product by hand, AquaGard whisks finished product over 90 feet from the production room through the wall into the staging area for palletizing.

AquaGard is corrosion resistant, and its open framed, all-welded stainless steel construction is durable. Minimal horizontal surfaces enable water to simply flow through the conveyor.

With increased production and safety considerations addressed, this manufacturer can shift their focus to their customer (you)!

AquaGard Rolls into Full Production
