Dorner Launches New Stainless Steel Conveyor Platform

AquaGard brings fastest speeds, best-in-class transfers and ease of automation to food industry

Dorner Mfg. Corp. now has the food industry covered, from processing to packaging. Introducing AquaGard™ – a new stainless steel conveyor that offers maximum flexibility for a wide variety of products and applications while increasing throughput and reducing product loss. The new platform was rigorously designed to deliver industry-leading speeds, best-in-class transfers and ease of automation to the bakery, snack food and confectionary markets. However, AquaGard is also ideal for select applications within the fruit, vegetable, non-protein ready-to-eat, pharmaceutical, medical, and personal care markets.

Capable of sustaining speeds as fast as 260 feet-per-minute, AquaGard provides unmatched throughput to improve bottom line results. In addition, if product loss or transfers are a concern, the new platform offers one-inch nosebar tails for small part transfers, a powered transfer for maintaining speeds through transfers and a roller transfer plate, which provides smooth product transitions with only minimal added length.

When it comes to automation, few conveyors make it as easy as AquaGard. In fact, no drilling is required. A revolutionary bracket design makes it possible to add a variety of controls, including photo eyes, low voltage wires, air tubing and several guiding options in only minutes. An accessory bar can also be affixed quickly to add multiple components to a single side – or both sides – of the conveyor frame.

AquaGard is comprised of a TIG welded stainless steel frame with an open design and minimal horizontal surfaces. For added durability, the belt is supported by solid UHMW wear strips located in welded cross members. Welded, formed angle stands are also engineered to maximize space around the conveyor. All materials utilized for AquaGard are FDA approved and meet or exceed BISSC standards.

AquaGard is a modular plastic belt conveyor available in straights, curves, inclines and declines. A variety of belt options are also available, including open mesh, closed top and cleated belts, which can be selected based on a customer’s specific needs.

Belts for AquaGard are available in widths from four to 36 inches and in lengths ranging from just three feet all the way to 83 feet. As part of the company’s long-standing dedication to speed and flexibility, Dorner can ship AquaGard conveyors within 10 working days (for straights). Curved conveyors ship within 15 days.

The new 5200 Series Modular Plastic Belt Conveyor Platform is the last conveyor industrial, automation and packaging customers need to buy.

Truly a modular conveyor, the 5200 Series is engineered to allow customers to quickly and easily modify the conveyor’s configuration — a major innovation in conveyor design. What this means to customers is a true cost and time-saving design by being able to modify the conveyor’s length or curve to meet changing line requirements. Customers can change a 90-degree curve that used to go left, and make it go right without having to purchase any additional components.

Reconfiguring the conveyor is fast and easy. To shorten or lengthen the conveyor, simply cut the conveyor with a saw to the desired length and reassemble with a cordless screwdriver. You can change the curve configuration just as easily. In no time, your line is back up and running.

Dorner Keeps Active Product Development Pace

Dorner’s 7600 Series is the newest addition to the AquaPruf stainless steel conveyors. The sanitary conveyor series consist of both belted straights and curves. The series accommodates a wide range of belt and standard options for the needs of bakery, confection, snack, prepared foods, and protein markets. And, like the other AquaPruf conveyor series, 7600 has been tested for thousands of hours internally and at customer beta sites. This assures the ability 7600 to meet the needs of the food industry with confidence and reliability.

The 7600 key design features include all welded stainless steel frame, round cross members, solid UHMW wear strips and no fasteners in the food zone. These features combined with the tip up tail allow for fast and effective sanitation, a key to serving the food markets.

The 7300 Series is an all stainless steel conveyor, which is engineered with oversized bearings for durability. The 7300 series is designed for high pressure wash down environments (1500 psi) with water and chlorinated cleaners. Stainless Steel Stands

The new stainless steel stands have been designed for wash down environments and optimum drainage. The stands come in two models, one for supporting conveyors in a horizontal position and a pivoting model for incline and decline installations. Both models come with pivoting feet to accommodate sloped floors.

Aluminum Stands
