This position will lead the development of plans to achieve certification and registration to current ISO standards and will coordinate efforts to consistently audit against those standards, with a primary focus towards continual improvement of all processes utilized by our organization. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of inspection and testing criteria, while assisting with the establishment of policies and procedures to achieve that criteria. This position is instrumental in the training and use of Six Sigma and/or Lean continuous improvement techniques throughout the organization. The position interacts with all levels of the organization, as well as suppliers and customers alike.
This position will spearhead the organization’s efforts to formalize our existing quality policies and procedures. Excellent communications skills will be necessary to consistently communicate the organization’s performance to cost-of-quality metrics. This individual will frequently interact with senior and middle management staff to develop a culture of continuous improvement
A four year degree in Engineering or in a scientific field is required. A minimum of 8 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to fabrication and machining processes is desirable, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude. Previous supervisory experience is a definite plus.
Advanced statistical skills and application with demonstrated experience in testing protocol and results. In-depth knowledge and application of ISO 9000 series quality systems model and audit.
Highly desirable would be Six-Sigma training and certification, ASQC Certification and demonstrable experience in the use of Lean principles and techniques, particularly the facilitation of Kaizen events.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, and/or Auditor desired.
